i've heard people say "yes, get a goby", but i've also heard people say "no, don't get one, they're bad for the DSB" HELP!! i want something to sift the sand. tired of the algae look on top of the sand! any sugg.? if "yes" to a goby, how many for a 55 with only 10lbs. LR so far? If "no", what? heard Nass. snails are good for this, but unsure how many to get.

I have never heard of a sand sifting goby as doing any harm other than they will completely rearrange the sand in the tank. Mine would move all the sand to one side of the tank, then sift it back to the other side. As for a 55 I would get only one. Mine is a orange spotted sleeper. He is kind of a psyco.

Buy one i think,
They have great colour and personality, i love mine, i dont think they are good for shifting but colours are amazing, buy something like watchman goby or firefish, firefish doesnt have relation w/ sand but very good fish

I read somewhere else that they might conflict with some shrimp in the tank? Would they bother peppermint or coral banded shrimp? The Yellow Watchman looks cool.
