Nope, probably be good running the whites at 750 and the blues at 500
Currious as to why?

What percentage is that? What is 750 and 500?
Did the manufacturere ever give you any info for acclimating?
Because it will give a blue tint and should be close to the right amount of light.

Okay, CW input is 1000mA so its at 100%
if you give it 750mA it would be at 75% ect,
Rb input is 750mA so if its running at 500mA its running 66.6% ect....

SO your saying to run my whites at 75% and blues at or around 66%? Going from PC's to LED's? Don't you think that will be too much? Im running the whites at 50% and Im concerned. Am I reading this correctly?

Yes you are....I reject my previous statement, Go 40% and 40% on blues or whatever K color you prefer, Slowly (like every 2 weeks or more) ramp it up 5%-10%

I think 75% for my whites might be too intense. Don't ya think? My coral were under PC's. They are the weakest lights out there for coral.

Cam, I have a question for you also. Why did you get super blue and not the white? 8*2 whites and 8*1 blues. It looks like you opted for 8*2 blue and 8*1 white... any reason?

The sol Blues allow you more color variations. They are also considered stronger by Aqua Illumination. If I were to get the first series I would have needed 4 Units rather than just the 2 I got. Anyway I desire the "blue look". The royal blue puts out some intense colors.

1 Snapple. I appreciate all of your help with this. Do you say any blue % I like because the blue lighting cannot hurt the coral? So the "acclimation" is more for the intensity of the white lighting? Is that what you are saying? because that was my initial thought.

Ok, so the blues are technically the same as the whites? I wouldn't want the heavy blue look like the actinics put out like the pcs do. Also do these auto dim based on a lighting schedule? Or is it something you have to do on your own? Such as having whites on for your pcs and then switching to only actinics after 5 or 6 hours. Will it do something similar? Lastly did you get the adapter to simulate the moon lengths or whatever it is.... I'm not sure of the terminology but its like having the moon time line or something. Did you get that adapter or is there even an adapter you need to get with it?

I think you'd be happier with the blue. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1893407

I have the download that allows the lighting to follow the lunar cycle. Yes. As for controlling the lights and allowing how much blue or white you want, it is 100% controllable. You can create any color scheme you want at anytime of the day. You will not be disappointed with these lights. They are not too blue because you can control how much blue or white you want.

I believe the acclimation is really the amount of white light, because blue emphisizes more colors right?
