going on vacation what should i do????

I am going on vacation next week. i have 2 damsels and 1 clown. autofeeder is set. should i have my neighbor turn the light on and off or just leave it off. my room does get indirect sunlight. any other tips?????

either get a timer, or if you cna trust your neighbor, do that, he needs to be reliable, and he also needs to be reliable enough to feed them for you, i'd also give him a # of your hotel or whatever, in case he needs something

Give the neighbor a case of beer or chocolate or whatever BEFORE you go, then s/he will have been pre-paid and feel guilty if they skip the fish-sitting duties.

Timer is the way to go.
You can find them at Home Depot for about $5.00
I love the timer. I never have to remember it't time to turn on or off the light.

Timer for sure, and depending on evaporation rate - need to do something about water top-offs.
Trusted neighbor is best.
I had 1 gallon RO water jugs by the side of the tank and just showed her what to do.
Use your feeder and HIDE your food - people must just LOVE to overfeed other folks fish.
We came home to a tank full of uneaten flake food on the substrate :mad: grrrrrrrr
But everything turned out okay ;)
