Going reef?

I was thinking about putting some corals in my 55. Now, will I need any speical salts? I use InstantOcean. And what wattage lights should I use? (Any other tid-bits will be helpful)

Hey Stryder,
IO is fine. The more watts the better but the minimum depends on what corals you plan on keeping.

I would go with Metal Halide lights, possibly with VHO actinics. You will be able to keep nearly everything with this setup. 2 X 175w should be more than enough the actinics will only add to it. ALSO if you have a wet/dry or not consider a refugium and skimmer.
