Yep i'm finally moving up to a 125
but the used tank i went to buy today had two 1 inch holes drilled right on the center of the bottom about 1 foot apart.
Is there any simple way to set up an overflow with it drilled that way?
i was going to try to connect a 90* elbow to each and then a stright piece going towards the corners then up to the water level i want.
Or i was thinking about setting up the filter so it is sealed.
i would have a 4 inch standpipe with a guard over it and put live rock around it and have it going through my filter through my uv and then back into the tank through the other hole with with a 4 inch standpipe and a guard also.
how do you guys think i should set it up :help:
i could also get 2 square pieces of plexi glass and just caulk around the hole and put the plexi glass over them to block them off and just have a couple HOB overflows

Any pics of the new tank? Will give us tons of ideas.....From what I'm reading you could easily build and internal overflow box around the bulkhead holes already drilled.......Or you coud make standpipes and leave them exposed as well.......Show some pics....

i was getting this tank because my puffer needs more room and i don't want to have overflows right in the center (length and width) of the tank

I understand they are drilled in the bottom of the tank, but how far off the back wall are they drilled and how far apart are they drilled from each other?

Dead center of the tank 18" apart???? :notsure: It's workable......I think Golfish had a setup like that before or still does....I don't know if he stops in or not anymore......but you could build yourself a 4 sided overflow box....It would eat up some space, but could handle decent flow. What size are the holes that are drilled?

yea dead center thats why i'm not sure if i want it or not, its from a display at a resturant that closed i'm wondering if they had it drilled that way so it could be viewed from all sides.

i know i could put 2 overflows in the center but i'm buying it because my fish are getting big and they need romm to swim i think i mught block them off and just have a couple hang on back overflows
