Well you mentioned that we have canines therefore we are designed to eat meat. I just figured I'd point out that canies do not indicate meat eating. Chimps are much larger canines compared to us and they are primarily frugivores. In fact our canines are greatly reduced compared to most carnivores. Based on our dental morphology we would probably be considered omniovores.
