Gold rim tang

I have bin looking for a new fish to add and saw the Gold rim tang. Looks nice, eats what I am feeding , I read that they are not bold and reef safe.
How well do they do in tanks ? are they good comunity fish ?

I have a yelllow tang ,and some clowns right now but I am expecting more fish soon. green croims and some other peacefull fish.

The yellow tang will most likely give any new tang a lot of grief. A tank divider might help initially. Gold Rims can be touchy, as can most fish from this family. Be sure to quarantine it first and watch for any symptoms of illness. They are not an overly aggressive tang, but again an established yellow tang will probably go after it.

I agree that the acanthurus family of tangs are a little harder to keep. I also prefer the looks of the powder brown over the gold rim but the gold rim is more hardy. Your yellow would probably be fine because its in the zebrasomma family but keep a close watch.
