Golden Headed Sleeper Goby

What a great new addition to my tank this guys has not stopped! He grabs
huge mouthfuls of sand, shifts it and the clean sand falls out the gills.

Its my favorite fish in my tank. Very nice blue lines on his cheeks and i love when he raises his top fin.
Actually is eating algae off my dead coral which i never seen one do before. He is sifting sand half the time. Fun to watch him munch on the sand or food.

I just got one of this goby. He is very cool looking fish. I hope he used to get eat other foods too

I wanted one but:
1. they jump and I dont have a top
2. they have full size ones at the LPS. biggest goby I've ever seen
3. nothing for them to eat in my tank.
I really could use the sifting action though.

i just put one of these guys in my 12gal nano, now theres sand everywhere and the water constantly has suspended sand it in... im about to trade him in for a firefish. after this experience, i'd say they're definitely left to bigger tanks.

I have had one for about a year so now. I love him. He creates a little bit of a sand storm, but what better way to stir your sand. Everyone constantly told me that they would eat all the life out of my sand bed, but I don't think he can eat that much (and hasn't). Only downfall is that you cannot have anything sitting on the sand bed. He will cover it.
