Gone for six weeks

I was gone for the summer for six weeks and left the task of tank sitting to my roommates. To my surprise when I returned, the tank looks awesome. The coral and coralline algae are out of control, but the hair algae and the spaghetti worm population have also boomed to great proportions. How can I control the nuisances?
I think they are spaghetti worms. They come out of these sand made tubes. They are long, transparent, and move like tentacles.

The worms are good, the more the better. I'd pull the hair out by hand. Do you have a fuge and or good skimmer?
