In a 55 Gallon with 40lbs lr 40lbs regular sand and 20lbs ls would the following stocking list be good, bad, or flat out ugly?
Dwarf Angel- Flame, Coral Beauty, Flameback, or Cherub
Butterfly- Punctato or Latticed
Blenny- Bicolor
Goby- Yellow Watchman
Goby- Clown
Wrasse- Sometype of Fairy, Sometype of Flasher, or Yellow
Anthias- Bartlett
Others I like that might could replace some above...
Cardinal- Pajama, Bangaii
Gramma- Royal
Dottyback- Fridmani
Goby- Neon
Dartfish- Firefish, Purple Firefish
Once my levels come down from adding the lr I plan to move our Bicolor Blenny to the tank as the first fish, which should be sometime in the next couple of weeks. The main thing I wasn't sure about was the Butterfly being that they are two of the smaller ones.
Thanks in advance.

Is that over stocked? I wouldn't put anything other than just those fish in there, plus the inverts that I plan on getting.

Personally, i would drop the butterflies from the list. They just seem to do better with a larger tank but you could still try it. Everything else looks pretty good. Not quite sure on the anthias but this website says they are easy to keep. Never had one myself. Make sure not to overstock though.

OK, Your bicolor blenny is fairly aggressive. He will literally attack the small gobies if tey come near him, so I would suggest getting just one of those three-either the blenny or one of the gobies.
If you choose to add a butterfly (which i would NOT reccomend) do it after your tank has been established for some time. Many butterflys have specific dietic needs and are not cnsidered beginner fish-other than the "poor mans moorish idol" , the henniochus which does better in schools.
Lets see, one blenny, or one gobie or one or two dartfish/firefish
one angel-any of those mentioned are fine-choose for color
Any of the fairy wrasses-which are great additions because they are constantly moving, become very tame (mine eat out of my hand) and are generally beautifully colored.
Anthias are nice, but do much better in groups so you could not have many other species in there if you go this way.
The royal gramma or some of the other basslets are wonderful additions-colorful, yet they tend to hide in the rocks and only come out to eat.
Then add some shrimp, starfish and you are full!!

My bi-color and all the ones at the shop are kept with gobies..no aggression here. My advice would be to wait until your tank matures at least 10 mo- a year before adding a butterfly.

My list has changed since I posted this list (seems to happen alot).
I think I'm going to drop the butterfly and anthias.
My new list is...
Fish
Royal Gramma-have
1 Dwarf Angel-Proably Cherub
Bicolor Blenny
Yellow Watchman Goby
Fairy or Flasher Wrasse-Not sure what type
Cardinal-Bangaii or Pajama
Maybe one more small fish

Inverts
Two hermits-have
Emerald Crab
Peppermint Shrimp
Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
Pistol Shrimp
Astrea Snails
Turbo Snails
Feather Dusters
My list might be different in a few days, who knows.
Later on I might upgrade my lighting and take a shot at a reef. I found a 440 VHO Retrofit on a site I might get once I start working with my dad later this summer.
