Good Binoculars

I'm looking at some bushnell binocs for my little brother, he's moving to Israel for the year and he was sorely upset he didn't have a pair of his own last summer when he was on tour there. I have bushnells and I love them but they are 11years old and they are FAR too heavy to cart around in a foreign country. any hunters/birdwatchers/etc. out there have a nice pair of compact binocs you swear by?

my sister was a senior buyer for Bushnell... my bro-inlaw has a couple pair of Bushnell binocs... i know one pair is the Excursion... they are really nice, light weight and have a shoulder harness... the other pair i dont know but they are pretty big and bulky... Bushnell is a solid product...

mine are a little large as well, but i have a set of steiners that worked awesome when i was in iraq for my last tour. excellent clarity, very rugged.
they make some smaller sets, check out cabela's has a huge line up of binos.

I gave my hubby last year a pair of sport busnell. They have been great for vacations/baseball games etc. Lighter weight and easy to carry.

These are the binoculars I bought. They are a tad expensive, but well worth the money.
