What kind of books are you looking for? Ones that cover just fish? Fish and inverts? Filtration, etc?
The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner is good.
Marine Fishes by Scott Michael is good.
There are several more, but you kinda need to break down what you are looking for.

"Natural Reef Aquariums" by John H. Tullock or "The Conscientious marine aquarist" by Robert M. Fenner.
Fist book will cover mostly reef environments, second more adopted to FO/FOWLR systems.

I found that :
The New Marine Aquarium: Step-By-Step Setup & Stocking Guide
is a great short-book that'll give you very good information in very little time. only about $14 on amazon. This provides a very good base of info and should be a quick read. I think it's under 200 pages.
I also am reading The Conscientious Marine Aquarist: A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyists. I like the book, but every chapter seems to go into depth about the HISTORY of such and such... I find it a bit unneccessary, but it's still a good book and would recommend it.
