Good Crab or Wicked Crab of the West???

Hi all,
Came home tonite and per usual I did a quick roll call of tank inhabitants. Still very easy for me to do that since the tank is only 2 months old :) and I just this past weekend added my first fish (firefish). About a month ago I added my cleanup crew (conches, scarlett reefs, turbos and 2 emerald crabs). Most of the time I have a hard time finding the crabs and tonite for the first time I was able to spot both emeralds at the same time (weeeeee ;) ). Bout a half an hour later I spotted a dead crab in the sandbed-one of my emeralds! But when I looked to where the two were that I spotted earlier, they were both still there!
Upon closer inspection one was decidedly bigger than the other one still alive (who, btw was a dead ringer for the one no longer with us) and apeared to be much hairier.
I know I didn't put him into the tank, and can only assume he hitchhiked on the LR. Question is, is my mystery crab detrimental to the other stuff in the tank? While a featerduster took a hit after the CUC was introduced (since recovered), I haven't seen any evidence that snails, SRHs are being attacked other than the dead crab I found tonite and a SRH I found dead shortly after introduction (at the time I attributed it to not making the trip from FL.)
Anyway, if anyone has the time to checkout thisCrabbbbb Pic and tell me what you think I sure would appreicate it. :D

There are several look alikes for emerald crabs that are not good to have. If he dosen't look exactly like the others he may be one of the look alikes and you should remove him.

Are you sure the dead crab wasn't just the shell that one of your emerald crabs molted? I have had things i swore were dead, but it was just the old shell.

I would say it was one of your emralds molting. It looks just like the crab it came from. It is almost creepy. My deractor crab molted saturday morning and at first glance I thought he had died. I really enjoy watching my decorator crab, so I was starting to get upset. Sure enough he molted and is doing wonderful. :D Hope this helps.
