I went to my LFS and got quoted for a 44g tank.
98$ = Tank
75$ = Canopy
250$ =PFO Compact Flourescent Retro 2x96
125$ = Protein Skimmer
50$ = Live Sand (40lbs)
150$ = Live Rock (30lbs)
50$ Store Credit After Purchase
Total = 750
Is this a good deal for what it comes with? Thanks
Edit - I already have a stand set up, and a place to put the tank.

i dont think so cause 1 u dont get a stand and 2 you dont get enough rock
but i think itll be the same even if you shop around for the different parts

would it be cheaper to just order the same parts but all separately?
Any suggestions would help me out a ton. Im looking to buy a 40+g tank...but i only have a 32inch stand. The good thing with this tank is that it did fit.

Also with lighting, what is a good light that will work good and let you get the best coral and stuff. The lady at my LFS said the 250$ light would make the coral better, than the 150$ light. Any other lights out there that are cheaper and work as good as the 250$ light.
I want to get the tank set up right, but also dont want to spend a top of extra money if i can get cheaper also.

I think you could do signficantly better with buying several of those things online. Also important to know brands (eg what kind of skimmer, lights). Also what about a filter or powerheads or something?

Don't rule out - especially if you are in a metropolitan area - the classifieds in your local paper (or for a local reef club) or even checking the classifieds here. It is a great way to save money on a system. I'm not the best at handing out advice on prime equipment...may want to ask or search that seperately or look in the DIY and equipment forum
But if you can definitely get some answers from the store as well.

I'm going to say no. We got our 75gl, with four fish, heater, ph, filter, stand, lights regular and moon light, ect, for way cheap. But it didn't have ls and only one piece of lr.
55gl tank at walmart doesn't cost that much.
You can also keep your eye out for used stuff, tank, stand, filter, ect.
