What can I buy that would be a good diatom eater? My foxface does okay, but I need something else. Any specific kind of snail, or crab? Thank you.

Hi there,
Do you know where additional silicates are being introduced into your water calumn? Once they are none, the algea will go away.
Which I wonder if there are silicate test kits?

fighting conch for sand, astrea or trochus snails for live rock and magfloat with phosphate and silicate sponges for glass (alum and ferric oxide both remove silicates as well as phosphates). most importantly time. last tank took 9 months before they went away completely. this one I fixed the problem by removing the sand completely. that works great.
