I am a new reefer and I am interested in adding some plants that are good for my tank ecosystem. What should I get? and why?

man no one is answering questions in this forum, I have halimeda plants, their interesting looking, and they can be a natural calcium test cause it's they're main supplement they need so when there not doing well you know you better check the calc. Also from what ive read cheato is good i guess for filtering but im still very new to the aquarium hobby.

Shaving brush, Mermaids fan, and Maiden's hair are all supposed to be safe for reefs.
