Good group/school fish

Some of the Cardinals like the Orbicular or the Pajama like to be in groups. I don’t have one myself, but my LFS has a tank full and they always seem to “hover” in formation. Kind of reminds me of a squadron of jet fighters, Its pretty cool!

how big is your tank? anthias are some of my favorites, but you need a very large tank. chromis do well in schools of odd numbers and are great for smaller tanks. Pajama cardinals can be aggressiv, so I would suggest bangaii cardinals-however, I have had bad experiences with trying to keep more than one bangaii but others have had sucess.

I was told that firefish like to school in odd numbers....I had three at one time but my damn lion had them for lunch before I had a chance to watch them....(yes I learned my leason) That was an LFS saying Yeah they will be fine in there with the lion as he is a dwarf. That is when I realized that if it fits in his mouth he will eat it..

It depends on the type of anthias you want. The lyretail anthias needs a 125 gallon tank, but the dispar anthias needs a 75. They're a beautiful fish, but my lfs discouraged me and I have 7 chromis instead.

try the blue reef chromis, they look so good compared to the blue-green chromis but they are alittle more expensive
