AquaC Remora although it is a little pricier than other hang-ons.

Aqua C is a better skimmer but is also pricier. Personally I'd pay the extra money and go with the Aqua C over the bakpak. I have a bakpak on my 20 and although it does a pretty good job I'm not fully pleased with it. It helps if you take airline tubing and stick 2 airstones in the bubble side of the skimmer. It improved my skimming by at least a 1/3 or so.

Yep I did on mine when I had my old 20g. reef. I have had both the aquaqc remora and bakpak2r and they take out the same amount of skimate.

thanks flatzboy,
do you reccomend any of the additions like buble trap or surface skim thing?

I had both and I think hey just take up space. I think the skimmer performs better when the wateer the enters it is raw tsnk water and once the skimmer brakes in it doesn't shoot out any bubbles.

 since we're talking bubbles...
I've had my aqua c up and going for 3 months now and i still get bubbles and noise also. I like the job it does with the skimming but if i could get rid off all the bubbles and noise id be
. my tank is set up since late march (only additive Calcium)
