GOOD HOB protien skimmer

Any input. I have a 29 sorta reef. Right now its got 50 lbs of LR and an aqualite pro 250 MH. I don't have a sump on THIS tank and am looking for a good HOB skimmer.

Hands down, the aqua c remora.

I second that. I have the aqua c remora pro and it hasn't given me one ounce of trouble. Worked great from the get go....does go through a small breaking in period.

I also have the remora pro and I think it does a great job. The only problem that I've had with it was that the sprayer got clogged and when I went to clean it out, the screw that was supposed to come out so that you could get in there with a pipe cleaner was completely stuck. I emailed them and they told me that they have since changed the material with which they make that screw so that is no longer an issue. They immediately mailed me a replacement for free. That won't be an issue if you buy a new one, but just know that if you get a used one you might have to replace that screw if you ever want to clean it out.

The remoras are far and away better than any other HOB. The CSS are descent for the price.
