how does a cup coral look when it is getting bigger? i know when i bought mine about 3 months ago it was a perfect circle. and now it seems there's a big bump on one side. kinda looks like a raised area. nothing wrong with it though. does anyone know how they act when they start to grow? any info. would be great.

somtimes cup corals(pagoda cups)start turning into really strange shapes as they grow!! i've seen them in all sorts of weird shapes at various stores in my time. it dosen't mean anything is wrong with them, just how it wants to grow.

well that's good because that means mine is growing.

Chevron....they can grow into some strange shapes. When I added mine about 7 months ago it was maybe twice the size of a silver dollar and nearly perfectly round. Now look at it!!!

check mine out... it seems to keep growing in a circular shape with a ridge on one side
