I would recommend you visit a site called www.wetwebmedia.com. Many verterans of the hobby there with FAQ's for just about everything imaginable. They do not sell fish or supplies and the info is free.

There are lots of places to learn. The important thing is that you've made the choice to learn.
I do disagree about the "no stupid questions" statement though. There are plenty of uneducated questions that are not stupid, but there are a good many stupid ones too...
