good LFS on long island new york?

anybody know of any good fish stores on long island, specifically suffolk/ nassau/ queens thanks a lot

there are 3 that i use in suffolk,brians in rocky point,aqua hut in coram,country critters in patchaque.aqua is the cheapest,country critters is a little expensive but the best ,let me know how you make out.

I use Pet Experience in Bethpage. Prices are decent. I bought my whole setup from them. Havent checked any other place out yet. If you go there ask for Jason. He's usually there from 5pm-close.

i have been to country critters and aqua hut, but thanx anyways. there both great anyways. have u guys ever been to fishtown u.s.a in flushing? they dont have as good a selection as country critters but better prices on fish and corals.

I used to live near there. I havent been there in a loooooooong time but from what i remember they have nice stuff and good prices.

i just got back from fish town usa with about 15 lbs of live fiji rock at $3.99 a lb. i thought that was a great price as opposed to country critters 8.99 a lb and aqua huts 7.99 a lb. anybody else now of anywhere to get live rock for cheap? i live in mastic beach, and fish town usa is really far to go just for some rock. since i was there today i should of got more rock like 30lbs, im soo mad now.

wow good price. Was it "pre-cured"? Did they have a nice selection? Maybe ill head over there tomm and check it out. Someone mentioned a place in Syosset that has live rock for $3.99 also. Cant remember the name right now, sorry.

im pretty sure it was cured rock, dut not 100% sure. thay just tell me that when i get home to washit off with some fresh water. they have like a 100 gallon tank or sumthin , not really sure full of fiji rock for 3.99 a lb. u can call them at 1-718-539-5396

Hey man thanx for the heads up. Just got back from Fishtown USA and $600 later i got a MTC protein skimmer with all the plumbing done($350), tap water filter($54), 50lbs of tonga rock($3.99 a lb "semi-cured"), blue background for the tank. Dealt with Noel. Very knowledgable and nice. Ill try and find the name of that place in Syosset for you. Found it.... Mega Pets in Syosset. Corner of Woodbury rd and S. Oyster Bay Rd.

Ive never been there only heard they have nice stuff. I also checked another place out. Its PETS on Jericho Tpke in New Hyde Park. They had a huge selection of fish and a nice selection of corals. I found the prices to be kinda high though. They wanted $11.99 a pound for tonga branch and $8.99 for Fiji rock. The place is big and you cant miss it. Its about 1/4 mile west of new hyde park road on your right. good luck.
