both....its good for your tank but it can grow like a beast and take over your tank if not controlled....i got some in my 90 too

Caulerpa macroalgae. It looks like the racemosa species. It is also known as grape caulerpa. Make sure you trim it frequently and if it ever starts looking translucent, remove it from the tank immediately.
This plant has a lot of info about it and thus there are plenty of myths about it. Just do some research and you will do fine. I have 2 subspecies of this plant in my tank and love them.

What are your water parameters?
How old are your lights?
RO/DI water? If so, when is the last time you have checked your TDS?
Some more info about your tank would help.

i'm going to change to ro water i did once and my ph fell through the floor so i'll just have to watch it....but other than nitrates being at 5 eferything else is 0....my 4x65w are about 10 months old....i'm gettingready to order new ones but i think the water will do the trick
