good or bad

these are growing all over my LR... they are growing at a good rate but i want to know if i sould take them out or if they are good... i know the pic is bad but they are an off color yellow and kinda circular shaped...

i took a piece of it to my lfs yesterday and they said that it was a good algae and that it is hard to get it to grow so i must be doing something right...its spiral shaped...
