I was on a website and I saw this for sale. Is $200 a good price to buy all this?

I would say yes, its a good price, the lights alone are worth that much.

There are def. better deals out there... I got a custom 180g with custom stand, lights and return pump for $250.00... The metal halides will need to be replaced in a few months so your looking at another $150.00.

Id say its technically worth it because the halides are probably worth about that much, but I would personally rather buy a brand new nano. You could get a 24 gal nano for about the same price.
Im leery when it comes to "custom" setups. You never know the real condition of some stuff.

I guess the way i see it is one i already have all the lumber needed to make a nice tank stand. 30 gal tanks are not that costly. the MH lights are costly but im not a big fan of MH cost/heat issues. i would look into what kind of equiptment is coming with it. if it all cheap equiptment thrown together then i would pass... but it its has a high end skimmer. and other equiptment then i would prolly take the deal.... in this hobby it seems like you get what you pay for.

All depends on the lights... but I've never heard of 275w halides. I've heard of 150's, 175's, 250's and 400's.
Not saying they aren't though.
But in retrospect I spend 300 bucks on one 250w ballast and pendant without the bulb.. It was icecap but still 300 bucks could have easily bought those 2 lights versus my one.
Depends what you want I guess

it all depends on two things. one what is the equipment the tank is nothing special but what is the other stuff and how good of shape is it. two how much do you really like this setup there are better deals if you look hard. I think that putting the tank together is half the fun so I would say no and get just what I want (used of corse) but one thing at a time
