+1 on the stomatella. They multiply like crazy and are a good thing. You won't see much of them during the day but look in your tank at night with a flashlight and they are all over the place! Freaked me out the first time - I thought my tank was being taken over by body snatchers!

Thanks I seen them the other day and one was releasing eggs and the other sperm, so I guess I will have more soon. My clowns ate some of the eggs.

mine synchronize mating to almost anything. one day I was target feeding oyster eggs with a syringe and powerheads turned off. I kid you not these fools all over the tank began to synchronize their love spraying with my target feeding. I'm shooting clouds of oyster feast and they are shooting clouds of stomatella gammets. I figured more food for the corals! they will often come out and do this when I'm stirring things up in the tank as well. try to get one off the glass. If you arent carefull and swift they detach their rear end and keep cruising. I did this by accident (didn't know they did that) and the tail fell right into my pagoda cup which a polyp opened like I've never seen one open before and ate it whole. the stomatella fell and crawled back into a rock. As far as micro algae these guys are better than the snails you buy! they even crawl on the snails you buy and eat the algae off their shells. all this happens at night for the most part.
