...looks like its going to be a cold and rainy day here in New Mexico. I hope ya'all have a good Sunday . I'll be staying inside and plan to do a little more work on the new display. I have a new sump to install and if all goes according to plan I'll be able to empty my old 55 and move it in place to become the new refugium. The transformation from the old system to the new is almost complete...basically just some sump/refugium work remains. Its been a long and slow process but in the end I believe it'll be worth the time/effort and expense.
I did pick up a new addition yesterday...I had intended to purchase a peach/cream colored T. Derasa that a LFS in Lubbock had in a display the last few times I visited. It was a pale peach/cream colored speciman with brilliant red/purple veins...me and my wife both fell for it a few weeks ago but my display wasn't ready for it yet and we had intended to get it yesterday. Sadly a Lubbock area reefer had beat us to it...but I did find the one attached below...a darker mantle with maroon/red/purple colorations....I placed it last night. The pic was shot just a few minutes ago with no lights and using a flash so the coloration is a bit off but it looks great to the eye! Maybe later today I'll get a better shot with the lighting on so the true colors can be seen.
Anyway I just wanted to wish ya'all a nice Sunday and share a shot of my new addition....
