good test kits

im going to be startin a tank (my first) and i am gathering as much info as possible
i was wondering what are the best test kits
and what test i should need
im not looking for kits that cost 50 bucks a wack
just something that works well and gets the job done that is easy to use

then this hobby is not for you, if you go cheap you pay in the end. You buy cheap fish (like from *****) ich demolishes THOUSANDS of dollars of fish, you buy cheap kits, you don't test properly and your fish die, you buy cheap filtration, your fish slowly poison themselves. If money is an issue you're beginning the wrong hobby. With saltwater more than ANYTHING... You get what you pay for.

Okay one thing you have to remember is....even if the test kits cost 30-50 bucks they usually last a few months....
For FO, or FOWLF API has a test kit that tests for high range pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate its like 20.00 at petsmart...If your going with a reef then you'll need that kit and the reef mast kit that tests calcium, carbonate hardness, phosphate and nitrate levels for about 30.00
So both of those together its 50.00 and they last a while!

i didint write that very clearly
i mean liek 50 bucks on an nitrate test
just nitrate
i wud spend 50 bucks on like 5 tests in one or liek 3 in one
so any ideas????

im looking for test that you can get a really good reading on cuz ive heard people talk about the hole its hard to tell the difference btw colors
