ok sggavin, if you change your mind the offer still stands. dont be shy, i bought the ballasts from someone getting out of the hobby for $10.00. i have 3 2x55 watt ballasts in my closet collecting dust and you seemed to need them more than i do.
you should be able to get a good variety of beginner corals with that lighting anyway. lets get through the cycle first. then the fun begins

lets see what your ammonia levels peak at before you stop adding the shrimp. if you stop too soon you might slow down the cycle.

sorry im getting to excited :D i've had a freshwater tank for about 6 years, had the same fish in there they got really boring just swimming back and forth, i want a tank where everything is doing something :)

same with me. ive converted 4 of my 7 tanks from fresh to salt. much more interesting.

I was able to fit the 2x96watt kit form ahsupply in the wood hood on my aga 38 gal. still have room left to add another bulb. the 96watt bulbs are about 34" long.

this is the hood of my 29 gal i got 2 65 watt and 2 55 watt pc lights in there i just need to make a better reflector i flated the old ones out and put them in there
