Goodbye to all

I want to thank everyone for all your useful info. I have been left with a choice, Harley or Reef Tank. I guess now I am doing my part in helping the environment. No more reef tank...selling everything. It was a 15 year adventure and I am sure I will get back into it. Take care all.

Wow, tough choice. To bad you can't do both but I understand the decision. What are you getting? Hopefully I'll be getting a fatboy in a few months and maybe a GSX-R 600 Sportbike. That way I can choose the one for the mood I'm in.
Good luck and hurry back!

I don't know if you have been a rider in the past, but I can tell you from experience, that in the long run you will prefer the tank. I ride a triumph mostly because I think the extra you pay for a Harley isn't worth it. But you will be spending probably 16-20k on a decent non-customized Harley. Imagine what you could do with that cash on a fish tank. Plus now you have insurance and other accessories that you would buy just like you would a fish tank so there are no savings on maintenance either.
And most importantly, something somewhere will make you wish you didn't have that bike. Don't get me wrong, I love to ride. I am right at the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA and it is a great place to ride. But.....in the winter, a bike sucks. The payments......a bike sucks. Believe it or not, in weather like the last couple days, the bike is too hot!!
Finally, even though I have never laid mine down yet (knock on wood), almost everyone who rides for anytime at all does sooner or later. I just hope that when I do, it is one of those embarrassing "drop your bike at a stoplight", or worse yet like a friend of mine, "drop it in line getting fast food when he slipped on an oil spot".
If you do buy, drive safe and watch out for all those idiots in BIG CARS who don't care about bikers.
If you can't tell, I am considering giving my bike up soon. I figure the day I am told I will be a father is the day that bike has a for sale sign on it.

Hello all. Been lurking and learning for a while but I couldn't resist this one. Sold the Harley several years back, bought an airplane.......more fun and much safer. Back into saltwater after 15 years away. Boy has it changed. 75 gallon on the way up. Two months now and slowly adding stuff. (patience is a virtue). This is alot more fun than I remembered!

But why do you have to leave US too? :(
Still can always participate here!?! Live vicariously?
Or are biker boards more fun? LOL
Not a good excuse to leave the SWF community, IMHO.
Welcome Russ!

Sorry about your dilemma... :-/ If your selling your tank, how're you selling it? Where do you live? I'm trying to find a tank, too. Good luck, either way.

I too am taking my saltwater tanks down. Can't spend the time needed to care for them during this summer. But don't fear I will still stop in from time to time and lurk a bit. I plan on setting up another tank later this yr.
