i just got a Gorgonian where or on what should i place it? in the sand or the rocks?

anywhere if there is good current.try lower and aim a pump at it so u have more room for corals up top.

Place it in the highest current area possible as low in your tqank as possible with some "shade". Doesn't like a lot of light.
Not near anything that will sting it either.

Mine is growing well in the middle of a strong current (1 inch pvc split into two directions coming from a 1800gph Magnum). The current helps keep algae from overgrowing it. It also seems to send polyps out to feed more often in a stronger current.
