Got 3 new FISH!!!

Got a Tan Angler fish, Miniatus Grouper and, a Lunare Wrasse.... i asked the owner of the store if they will work together, he said Yes. i have a 125gal they are going into, but for now i am going to put them in a 55gal with a 40gal sump (home made)

That is a lot of fish all at once. The 55 is a qt with a sump?

A quarantine tank. To be sure that the fish is free from parasites or health issues before they enter your display. Now you have me worried! Why are these fish all in a 55? my 125gal is my big one... i have like only 50lbs of live rock, and i am waiting for my live sand to arrive... kinda sucks dude... but my 55gal is just my little fish tank... and i keep the ugly rocks and sand in the sump...

Ok, please, PLEASE go to the Disease and treatmnt board. Read up on ich. If you do not quarantine your fish you are almost guaranteed to get ich at one point. It is easy to treat in a small quarantine tank, it is MUCH more difficult to treat after it has infected your display. All of the fish have to be pulled out (hopefully into a CYCLED qt tank) the rocks have to be moved to get the fish out, the display has to remain fishless for 6 weeks. It is a huge mess. Please prevent this by quarantining your fish before they go into the display!!!!

Any healthy fish can fight off ich but a stressed or sick fish can get ich so easy in a healthy tank.

Do you have any hermit crabs or any kind of shrimp because say buh bye to them because of the Lunare Wrasse or keep it well feed and fat and it may leave your inverts alone.

I suggest you stongly consider doing your own research before bringing home fish, anglers are best on their own as they can and will eat fish as long as themselves and many aggressive fish will pick at them until they die, your grouper will also eat anything it can and can be very aggressive and lunare wrasses have a tendency to be vicious killers. So no those fish are not really suitable together.

That's not really accurate. Stressed or or unhealthy fish are more prone, but any fish can host the parasite.

By not quaratining a fish, you are not garunteed to get Ich. Quaratining fish is a precautionary practice to ensure the main display tank stays diseases/parasite free. However if the fish at the LFS looks healthy, swims normally, eats great, its not a must to quaratine a fish. People reccommend it to ensure its eating well, and everything else. But do not get the impression going you must do it unless you want an Ich infested tank.

I agree, I QT everything because it's a good precaution against introducing new diseases and parasites into the tank...but it's not garunteed that a fish will introduce disease if it's not quarantined, that's taking it a bit to far...but there's not really a good excuse for not QTing IMO unless you're just too lazy and aren't really phased by the prospect of losing numerous fish.

Wow, you seriously should not be in a hobby of keeping living animals with that attitude. This site is full of tanks of fish that get along and don't kill each other, you need to do research into the needs and attitudes of the fish you buy instead of just throwing a bunch into your tank. I would recommend you return all your fish and spend the money on books about saltwater aquariums and how to properly and successfully keep them. PocketGuide to Marine Fishes by Scott Micheal is a good book to carry around, Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Fenner is a good info book.

Actually these fish, assuming that the sizes are appropriate with one another, should be fine together. The angler may be a gamble but these fish can each hold there own against one another.
I would have a concern, though, about buying 3 potentially large, aggressive fish at the same time to put in a small tank. Most people tend to try to spread their fish purchases out over at least a couple weeks. Personally, I would not buy more than one fish per month. Make sure the tank's biological filtration can keep up.
