one is 1.5" brown/burgundy/purplish with light speckles and green/blue tail and legs. very active. digging and running everywhere and already came up to the glass to look at me. he snapped at something in the sand. possibly a dwarf cerith. 2.5g tank. a few dwarf ceriths that i missed and a mex turbo.
one is 2.5" light green. hes just sitting under a cave not doing much. 10g tank. 2 mex turbos.
the last is 2" pink/cream/tanish. he's in a cave and digging out entrances. i haven't gotten a good look at him. a linear blenny thats a troublemaker from my other tank has not bothered him like he does everyone else. i guess he's not that stupid. 10g tank. 2 urchins and 1 blue leg troublemaker.
they are all very pretty and i must say they are the coolest pet i've ever had.
they were sent two day shipping and arrived very lively and active. i floated them for 20 mins and plopped them in their tanks where they acted like they've lived in them all their lives. the little one took a mysis held it for a while but now its just in front of his cave. dunno if he took a bite or what. the green one isn't interested. the other one took it into his cave and i havent seen it since. dunno if he ate it or if its in his cave. wish i had a camera but all i have is a crappy webcam and it's pictures are just really bad. got them from ccritters. i told them none with peacock tail feathers like the one on their website and they hooked me up with 3 oerstedii's which are rated the same as the wennerae by roy. they were sent usps priority mail for $14 and it took two days. you can pick overnight fedex for $32. the mantis itself is $10 now i think. i also picked the color and size of them.

Well, congradulations on getting your Mantis. When you do get a camera, be sure to take pictures. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Me or a couple other people will be sure to help you out. I have had trouble myself getting live Mantis but luckily my 3rd one was the charm. She is a Peacock though.
Goodluck with your Mantis

Awesome

Mine is doing well too. Just installed a 250w MH and to my surprise, she is out and looking around. I thought she would stay in her hole for more than two days. Sucks though. I had a Gaint turbo in the tank that was doing some much needed work cleaning up and I left for two days and came back to a gnarly broken shell.
Fun while it lasted
