Ive seen some corals and anemones come back from what I thought was certain death. I would just monitor it closely and watch its progress.
I used to go to lfs and get completely faded out or almost dead corals either for free or 5-10 bucks. Everything survived and some of it ended up coloring up pretty nicely.

mushrooms will turn white when not exposed to light long term. with light, the color will slowly come back.
