Got some unidentified blue and pink zoas on the same frag rock today. Very pretty. Opening up rather quickly too. Any possible ID would be great but not too worried about it if you can't. I'm not a very good photographer so....any way, here are the pics!

Not sure on the zoas,
BUT
I have seen your tank a few times, and i am not being nasty, but you need a back ground in a bad way. Solid black is best in my opinion. Seriously you will be suprised by the difference it makes when you cant see your equipment or wall paper. any pet store with fish supplies will have it. If you get some please for the sake of all that is good and great dont get the fake reef scene type. go for black!

You dont need to make it all fancy since your tank is up and running, just scotch tape it on as neatly as you can.
PLEASE!!

+1 on the back ground. I put a black one on my 120 and it really brought out the look of the tank. just my .02

I put a black background on mine..it was my husbands idea, and let me tell you what a BIG difference it made....And also YES the solids look sooo much better with SW...I also have FW tanks, and the deco backgrounds fit them better.

Honestly, could not agree more. My 75 I had years ago did not have a background, but my 40's is black and the difference is incredible.

I've been trying to convince my hubby but he's stubborn on the whole background thing.
Trying to get anything done to the tank as to what I want is like pulling teeth. I convinced him to get it, I set up the rock and everything, got the parameters just right and he took it over. I'll keep pleading my case on the background. Til then, sorry bout the hideous wallpaper.

Yeah, me and my gang.
I might just have to make a trip to the aquarium shop one day for "water" wink wink

You can get some of the plastic rolled black back ground for that tank at any fish store for under $4. It will make the colors of the fish and corals look so much better and brighter. That whitish pink in the back ground now is washing out the colors in your tank.

It's not the cost that's the issue. My husband just doesn't want it on the tank. Personally, I'm the same way. I think it'd look better. Like I said, I may buy it any way and put it on. See what he thinks when he actually sees it on there. He might change his mind. Next paycheck though. I bought a few new members other than just the zoa frag and expended my funds for this paycheck. But it's on my to-do list.

That's ok. I'll sneek it in on him and then I'll bat my green eyes and say "But....but....doesn't it look better???" He'll melt and love it.
