ok like the topic says i got copper for my qt tank but im not sure if i need it
i think my clown trigger has lymphs just on its tail (im sure of it
it looks like its growing off of him but im not sure
my salinity level in my qt tank is now about 1.011 and im sure cause im using a refrac
all the ich is visably gone
today i did go out and buy some freeze dried krill, some medicated food for bacteria for internal and external parasites, and i also got some coppersafe, that im wondering if i really need or not cause it dosent say anything about the copper being good for lymphs
i just herd that vitamin rich foods was good for the lymphs
so will krill and the medicated food dipped in a garlic extract be good????
thanks in advance guys, and gals!!!

First, if you are doing hypo then the SG needs to be kept at a constant 1.009. If you allow it to go above, which you have, then whatever ich that is still alive can re-attatch. Drop it down to 1.009 and keep it there. You have to check it every single day, twice a day is better. Return the coppersafe. It is a low level of copper that would not work anyway.

thank you thats what i wanted to hear as far as the copper safe goes
but will the hypo work for lymphs, and will the garlic and medicated foods for bacteria help
im sure the garlic will help some what because it will boost the immune system a lil bit, im just not sure about the medicated food???
and what if my salinity level drops below 1.009
will that hurt the fish???
thanks ahead of time!!!

It is best to keep the SG at a stable 1.009 if it drops to 1.008 it is not the end of the world, just don't keep it there for weeks. Lymph is a different infection. Hypo will not cure lymph. Good water and nutritious foods will help the fish. Fresh garlic is best. Feed the fish frozen formula foods dosed with the garlic and a vitamin supliment.
