I finally got some okay pix of my mysterious hitchiker. He's a little over an inch long.
Please tell me he's harmless...nah, tell me the truth.

looks like a camelback shrimp...quite possibly a peppermint

based on the pics from here...my money is on peppermint and is a good addition to a reef tank

Looks like the Loch Ness monster to me. Your best bet is to feed it pizza and whole suckling pigs and pray that it doesn't eat you.

Camelbacks typically dont have symetrical lines as this one seems to have in different locations. They also have green eyes as this one seems to have black more of a peppermint shrimp. While camel backs and peppermints both have a hump a camel backs IMO have a much more pronounced hump. I am going with peppermint. IMO

definitely a peppermint and not a camelback. they look very different if you compare them side by side.

be careful though, peppermints can be pesky and annoying to many sedentary corals and creatures such as clams.
