You also put in, what 5? anenomes and a whole ton of corals in an uncycled tank. i'd bet if those corals you got from here died, it would have been from your whole tank crashing.

Nathan, to be fair, please explain to people your reef's history before you say "the corals from SWF" are anything... They didn't sell you bad corals, you bought a bunch of stuff without doing any research (your own admittance) and wiped out your tank.
Please do not post factually inaccurate or misleading info. SWF is a great business and ships out excellent quality livestock. (I've been a customer for years.)

fact...they have no customer service number thats a problem for ppl new to the hobby...secondly its not false info the tank was running fine when i bought some stuff from them the tank crashed yes prob cuz i added too many animals at 1 time..but ift hey had a customer service number that would have never happened ...i had no idea you had to add things slowly i dont do research when i buy things if im placing an order with a company i ususally call them first to go over it with them...imo they are foolish for not having a customer support number...and dont just read what u wanan read...i complimented them on the chili corals and sun corals...u just read what u wana read and disgard anything positive i say...its not misleading to warn ppl to know what they are doing before buying from them... i bought alot of other equipment from other sites and other stores and spoke to them in detail about whats best for my tank before purchasing the items...i emailed there so called customer support before placing my order but they dont give u accurate answers and are not specific enough...if they had a phone number they wouldve prevented..15 animals and corals from perishing...

if you did your research you wouldnt have this problem, just like if you order from anywhere else you decide what your ordering, not the merchant. if i go and order 200 fish and put them in my 10 gl tank whose fault is it?

They are probably very busy caring for their livestock, which is why i think they have a forum to discuss with real people that are going through and have experience with saltwater (which i would rather talk to people that have been doing SW and have experienced things, since whenever you talk to most petstores they do not know EVERYTHING so with all the people that are on here you would have a much better chance with getting an answer that people have actually had experience which is one of the best ways to learn. And how were they supposed to prevent you from not doing some research or starting a post that they provide to get some info, before you bought all that stuff and put it in your tank. And its your fault for not doing research, one of the biggest things you could do, not saying i havnt researched on things i just bought on impulse, but those are the things i have learned not to do, since those are the ones that end up not being suitable. So dont blame it on SWF.com and i did read that you said some nice stuff about swf, but if its your fualt that you bought so many there is no proof that the items you bought were bad or if it was just the tank conditions at the time, so if your going to bash a site have it be when your tank is good and you did your research otherwise there is no way to tell if it was your fualt or their product, You COULD make a post asking if they got so and so corals and to ask them to say what they thought of them to get more info on if they really arnt that good or if it was your tank...just my opinion..

I'm sorry, but I feel compelled to respond to Nathanrudy9 in this thread.
Mr. Rudy purchase a siginificant amount of live rock, fish, coral and invertebrates over a 1 week period last month. Multiple orders and days... so the obvious question of whether they are going into the same tank didn't get flagged. Not surprisingly, the animals died.
When he sent a very aqggressive email that his animals were dead and dying, we tried to point Mr. Rudy in the right direction. We suggested to Mr. Rudy that he purchase some books on the subject of marine fish keeping and visit the bulletin board. Among the approximately 25 emails that were responded to over the course of the next few days, he mentioned that his nitrates were well over 100 at the time. We suggested to Mr. Rudy that he wait at least another 30 days before even considering any additional animals and to allow the tank to cycle. He then responded that his tank was perfect and that we should immediately send fish. We have refused to ship additional livestock to Mr. Rudy because it was clear that he had no interest in learning about the proper care of the animals. He was attempting to purchase expert level animals and non-compatable animals. It was clear that the animals would not be properly cared for.
I am surprised to learn here that Mr. Rudy has purchased again from us, persumably under a different name or address. But, for the sake of the animals, it is our intention not to do business with this person... and for this reason, we are banning this poster now.

Very said for the livestock and for him to not get the good experience of this hobby. Hopefully he will read the book and start to take responsability.
