Got my new tank....

I got a 270 gal glass tank today. I got it for 1000. I think that is a good price and I get to pay in payments. I'll be posting pics of the build of the stand, the setup and transfer from my other 165 gal tank.

I am building the outter shell of my 180 and I will post pics of it after christmas. How many center support beams do you have for taht tank or any other tank? I am still deciding on mine, thanks.

My 165 has a piece of glass in the center that is about a foot wide for support and my new one has 2 plastic beams across cutting the tank into 3 sections.

Here it is set up in my dinning room. Half full. It's a little murky looking because I put some sand in and some rock.

Was this an upgrade to another tank? I see that you've only had it a week and already have fish in there. I am guessing you are using LR and LS from an established tank?

Yes it was a up grade. All the water, rock, sand, and filters from my 165 gal went into this tank plus others.

Yeah about a hour and 15 minutes from San Jose. I have a 165 for sale.

lookin great. curious, why have you not moved the heaters down into the sump so they are not in the main viewing area? im jealous, it was pushing it to get a tank the size of mine in my current apartment, i really wanted a 240.

I was trying to get the tank temp right before I move them down into the sump.
