Well, I just got my tank back up and running since the flood happened. It actually worked out for the best, because I was able to recarpet the house and setup the tank, and Insurance covered it. YEA!. But, when I was setting my rocks back up, I decided to try something out. I went to Home Depot and bought a large T-Section of PVC pipe. it has a diameter of about 5 inches, and there are three openings. I put this in the back of the tank, around the middle, and situated my rocks around it. It is AWESOME! Now the fish hae a sweet hangout spot, that is pretty wide, yet the rocks looks natural too. The piping will grow algae soon, and there ae now many tunnels/ openings for them to spin through. I can show some pics if you want. The pipe was only $2, and it has wroked wonders. Also, I used Nutra Seawater to start the tank, and it is superb. Autmotaically has all of the right nutrients and such in the water, the bacteria. I tested the water, it has perfect nitrate and ammonia levels, and the pH was great as well. Like they say on the cnotainer, ya can't do better than what nature intended. They get this stuff right from the caribbean, all you have to do is add it in. Less than a week to cycel, or if u are one of those "cyclefanatics", use Bacter Vital. It is like a medicine type thing that goes in the water, even water you mixed, and it gets yer ammonia/nitrates/ etc. going within 3 days. Swear to god, it is the alternative to cycling. Got any questions, post em or email me. K, have fun!!!
