very nice rock indeed sheree. i have to agree that that certainly does look like aiptasia...unfortunately get some peppermint shrimp and they should have that all cleaned up in no time!
good luck
p.s. if anyone has a mantis shrimp any kind at all that they would liek to send on a trip to colorado...let me know cause id be more than happy to show him around town here!

IF I find anymore Mantis, consider them yours!
The hairy looking worms are possibly cucumbers??? I have found about 7 of them. Small up to 3 inches in length.
yeah id have to agree that whatever you have in pic number 7 is some kind of cuke. check to see if it buries itself in the sand... coul dbe a nice little sandsifter you got there. if it has frilly branchy things coming out of one end, it is a filtering cuke and wont do anyhting for your sandbed, but still cool nonetheles!
good luck
jon
p.s. im totally serious about hte mantis thing...you let me know!

looks like aptasia to me- inject it w/ liquid calcium for quickest results- also i assume you will have quite the ammonia spike in there doing frequent waterchanges will help some of those critters make it through tthe cycle
Right now I only have 1 Smartlight unit,,2-65 watt bulbs.(actinic/10000K daylight)
Also, in the original striplights that came with the tank, I have 2 - 15 watt Actinics.
160 watts total
About 3 watts per gal. Gonna add more as I`m able.
Congrats on your Fla LR. I am one of the lucky ones who live 15 minutes from their store. Just thought I tell you the hairy looking emerald crabs are not reef safe and will eat anything it gets its claws on. If you see one, and you will, pull its butt out asap. Also one of the biggest drawbacks to Fla LR, besides the hairy looking emeralds (aka gorilla crabs) is the high number of mantis shrimp. Congrats and good luck
Nice rock. I personally stay away from Florida rock due to all the pests. Can always add stuff later, and you won't be stuck with these guys. Nice looking though.
