Mix until the paste turns into whitish fluffy texture. We have never had bad diaper rash in our house. This stuff clears it quickly and there is no zinc in it to dry the skin.

spider woman, too funny. The stuff works great! My kids diaper rash always went away immed. with the stuff. Also warm bath with baking soda. Just let her sit in it. It will neutralize the acidity that is causing the rash. Combination of those two things will make her much more comfortable.

What is the mixture for this, like 50/50? my sisters baby has diaper rash now. She is using this stuff called butt paste ( no lie)

There is more of the aquaphor because it has the consistency of vaseline. I add just enough mylanta to make it a pasty consistency. If you add too much mylanta it is too runny and wont stick the bottom!

that would be beaudroux(sp?) butt paste right? that stuff rocks i saw improvement at the next change when i used that stuff

well, she slept in her car seat in the crib over night...i woke up once at 2 am mainly to go to the bathroom, but checked on her and she was fine. she coughs every once in a while but she hasn't woken herself up.
as for the diaper rash, the DR doesn't think thats what it is. he thinks she's having a reaction, especially since its moving into her belly along where the top of the diaper is. we think it may be the new style of diapers we put her in because of her weight, so we're back to the pampers swaddlers. we'll see if it goes away.
we also have the butt paste, and its not doing anything for this rash.
