got two ocellaris about 3 weeks old

Do i need a anemone for them. Or can they do without i had a purple tip anemone but it didnt last long.

They do not need an anemone. It is neat to watch the symbiotic relationship that can form between a clown and an anemone. However, there is no guarantee that the clowns will host the anemone.

You probably know this... if you do buy a anemone make sure it's from the Pacific ocean not Atlantic. The Clowns will never attempt any contact with anything from the Atlantic.

The only thing I've had come close was a domino damsel. Do you have any Pacific Anemones in your tank...how long do they stay in the condy?

LOL...my clowns host filter tubes , and I have a BTA.....OH and a condy

That's weird... I had a condy for about a year before it died and the two clowns I have never even got close. I asked the Bio at my supply store and he said they would not touch the condy because it was a A/A. Clowns don't do A/A

My clowns have hosted BTA, sebae, condy, duncan, a toadstool, and a torch. They were overly aggressive to the condy and murdered it.
