Hey guys,
thought you'd be interested in seeing these photos of my 10000000000000 Gallon tank...
Nah, I did a boat trip out to the reef the other day and thought you'd like to see some pics of alot of our favourite fish/corals in their natural environment. If you ever come to Australia you must visit the Great Barrier Reef (off the North East coast) as it is simply awesome. Oh, and make sure you buy your fish from a LFS that practices environmentally friendly fish capture/breeding so that we can enjoy the reef indefinately (as long as global warming doesn't kill it first

Thanks everyone for the nice comments - the photos don't do it justice though... it really is amazing.
Mopar, i guess it is within a few hundred k's of where Steve Irwin got harpooned - didn't see any big sting rays though.
WangoTango - I didn't notice any obvious pollution issues, and the way it was run was environmentally friendly - they roped off the actual reef which meant you could swim up to it, but not over it which minimised the chance of people kicking/standing on it and damaging it. I hadn't been before so I can't say if the pollution issue had affected it much.
And as for more pics... well, you've all been very good lately

Chris,
Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. Loved the million gallon tank comment. My sister in law went to the GBR a few years back. The story I rememeber is that she was told to keep her hands out of the giant clams-probably 3 feet across. If they clossed, the divers wouldn't be able to get your hand out before the air ran out.
