Great Deal but feel bad

Well I got to several LFS, looking for the best buy for fish and other stuff. Usually one or the other has something new or cheaper. However I feel bad because one local fish store gives me a 15% discount because I am military and I expressed an interest in a Zebra Eel. So they somehow took it upon themselves to get one about 15 inches long. Well they wanted to sell it for 99 bucks or 85 after my discount. Well here is where i feel bad. I was able to find someone that can get fish at wholesale. Awesome deal, well I was able to get over a 2ft Zebra Eel for 67 dollars.
Now I feel bad because I really can't mention that I got the eel for that cheap even when I told them I could and they didn't believe me that I found someone that could get fish at wholesale. They said no one is going to get fish and not make money at it. Or they felt there was something wrong with the fish. However I know it is the same place where they get their fish. Oh well maybe I should 't worry so much, but looking at my tank and seeing my Zebra Eel moving in and out of the rock, is such an awesome thing that I want to share it.

MRJEDI....I know absolutely nothing about eels, or how much they cost
But I just wanted to say:
1) Thank you for serving our great Country, and....
2) Welcome to the boards

Don't feel bad, you informed them that you could find one for a better price (politely, i presume) and they still didn't believe you. So you took the deal. It's called smart shopping lol. And thanks for serving our country, I have amazing repsect for our troops

Thanks for the thanks. I have been fortunate to not have to be there, however I have supported everything that has gone on there since 9-11.
Well you can get eels for anywhere from 20 dollars for a very small one or up to over 1K for a real rare one.

They always said they were sceptical of somone selling or getting fish at wholesale. I was trying to get the LFS to sell it for 50 and I told them my wife doesn't like me spending much on fish. But they couldn't because it was less the what they bought it for. So I told my wife what I could get it for and she was like go for it.
Thanks for the support, the military needs all the support we can get.

It just depends on who you want to support more. I have an lfs I have been going to for approx 8 years and I prefer to give my business to them for all the time they have invested in explaining things to me. I do feel bad when I purchase from others, but I'll usually give the guy in there a few weeks to get stuff I want before I shop elsewhere.

There isn't a LFS that can even come close to the deal I got. And every one of them would tell me there is something fishy with that deal (no pun intended). One of my local fish stores still thinks I want their zebra eel. Don't have the heart to tell them I got one already.
