IU hear you do not need an air bubbler for sw tanks because of the powerheads.. If I just have 2 azoo submerged powerheads, will it add oxygen to my water????
If the powerheads are moving the surface of your water that creates and lets the gas exchange take place and the oxygen is absorbed in the water. You dont need a air bubbler for a SW tank they dont help and they can create a skimmer like if it produces fine enough bubbles.Where Are Your Powerheads Faceing At Now?

setting it up- currently have the tank and stand and lights, prizm skimmer, fluval 404, 3 1400 azoo powerheads, tap water filter, testing kit, and a whole lot of other junk..
I agree with Logan - you do not want an air bubbler - it creates the skimmer effect, causes salt creep and does not provide oxygination. Good surface agitation is what's important! Good luck with your new set up - looks good!
Read logan's post... If the water at the top is moving, you'll be OK, if not, move it higher. Anyway, a PH at the bottom, Won't that stir up your substrate? Also, a powerhead that moves water can not magically introduce oxygen into the water. The O2 has to come from somewhere, and that somewhere is the top opening of the tank. Get it???
