I have a little bit of green alage on my glass and overflow tube....This is after a light upgrade from single fl. 40 watt bulb to a 2 54 watt T-5 bulbs. I s this normal? Should I add some more snails...Don't have alot of glass cleaning snails...Or should i cut back on light?

You should also have atleast one turbo snail for every 2 gallons of aquarium water. I have also been told that Powder Blue Tangs are voracious algae eaters. By the way, what is your lighting schedule?

I disagree. Turbos are an optional scavenger.

Mag float wont work on live rock and other things you dont want to be removing from your aquarium. GO SNAILS!!!!

I have my lights on for about 12 hours a day, strictly for my viewing pleasure, lol. I have algae growth, but every morning I wake up to a clean aquarium. Reason- my turbo's. They are primarily nocturnal and go crazy while I sleep. My ratio is as I stated earlier 1:2gallons. They may not be required, but they surely make a difference IMO. Rock Blennies are really big algae eaters to, and are one of the more docile blennies.
