Green algae on glass

There is a short, green algae that is spreading all over the glass in my tank. My mom thought maybe it could be the beginning of coralline (she said sometimes it is green before it turns purple)...in which case I will leave it. Could it be something other than coralline that I should get rid of??

mostly your nitrates are high so the algea is growing b/c of it. i would clean the glass on the front and sides and do a water change

Actually, my nitrates aren't high. They are about 10-15.
I don't really want to clean it off if it's corralline...but if it's not, I want to get rid of it!

Do you have a cleaning crew? Turbo/Astrea Snails are great for keeping the glass clean. I really don't think anything growing on the glass is attractive IMO.

I do have a cleaning crew...but my snail population has depleted down to about 6 astrea snails. Time to restock, I guess.
