green algae

Hi i am new at this saltwater tank and I have had it up for a month and it went through a brown algae and now I guess it is green algae and i was wanting to know what i am supposed to do. They said my water was fine. What should i get for this or is there anything cause it is growing on the rocks to. Thanks

what does this green algae look like? does it look like grass? What kinda water are you using? flitration?lighting?

I have a 10 gallon with a 96 watt on it the algae actually is like dust. When you go to wipe it off it scatters like its just dust.

Are you using tap water or RO

I am using tap water in my tank but the store told me that was fine and that the green algae usually comes and just to keep cleaning it off cause all my levels are fine.

If you keep using tap water it will keep replenishing the nutrients absorbed by algae...Ro/di water is the best way to go. Although it wont eliminate your algae problem, you will see much less of it.
