Ok... I have a pretty big problem with this stuff....

This is what I have done and could use some advice.....
2 weeks into this problem.
I bought 1 med sized urchin, and he is doing an ok job... Need to keep placing him in the affected area but he moves on past and does not want to eat but, eventually eats some. Could be full?
I bought and additional 80 hermits(total of 120) and they are not doing that great of a job
1 lawnmower blenny
2 peppermint shrimp....
There are 0 phosphates in the water according to my salifert test. I have a feeling they are getting their growth from the MH.
Any suggestions?

Is it hair algae, or cyno. If it's hair algae, how old are your bulbs? How much do you feed: How are your other tests?

I had a real bad out brake. What worked for me was to clean my rock with a toothbrush in a bucket of old tank water. I do a 10% water change every week with RO/DI water. I got abig cleanup crew lots of snails, my bulbs were old so I got new ones, and I added 2 powerheads. My tank now looks great. I hope this helps you.

rusting,
thanks for the info. I was thinking of pulling the rocks, but the rocks are at the very bottom and would require removing half the tank to get at them. It sounds like I need to cotinure to add more snals and hermits.... I wish they made a joes juice for green algae....
